Founder/Chairman, Eleganza Group of Companies Chief Rasaq Okoya, as usual, marked Eid-el-Kabir celebration with family, friends and the less privileged staying close to his Oluwanisola Estate, Lagos.
The billionaire business mogul, talking to thelaurel.com.ng, said the focus of the prayer session is to pray for Nigeria and the leaders for a greater country, free of insecurity and buoyant economy.
In his words: “I am really happy to witness another Sallah. The citizens should pray more for our leaders so that they can give the citizenry what they deserve.”
In the same vein, his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Folashade Okoya, chief executive officer, Eleganza Industrial City, also affirms that the gathering is specifically to pray for Nigeria.
“This is a trying period for the nation in terms of the economy and security but with prayers, the country will bounce back to fruition.
I pray that God will continue to guide our leaders to lead us right and do the needful for the country,” she said. After the prayers, guests were treated to a royal reception with assorted dishes, wines and finger foods.
The less privileged were not left out of the funfair as they went home excited, cuddling their take away pack of food/drinks and two loaves of bread.
