Members of Lagos Ikoyi Lions Club came out in full force and with their yellow jackets in commemoration of World Clean Up Day, purposefully to clean up Lion Oye Williams Garden on Awolowo Road Ikoyi.
All hands were on deck, as weed were removed, debris from the gutter evacuated and over 200 kilograms of waste from the Gardens were deposited with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
The members took a tour of the Garden after cleaning, to inspect the new state of the Garden and with the hope of taking appropriate measures where necessary.
During the inspection, it was discovered that damages to the Garden were caused by erosion, rats and vandals.
The Garden has been serving the Community since May 2018, when It was commissioned.
